Less searching. More prepared.
Find important details when you need them
Keep your documents, contacts and practical information together instead of searching through emails, drawers and separate files.
Give everything a clear place
Thirteen organised sections help you record the details that matter to your life in Spain, with document uploads alongside them.
Plan what happens if you need help
The Family Backup Plan helps you note who could help and what they would need to know. Naming someone does not automatically give them access.
Keep your personal information private
Your saved entries and documents are encrypted in your browser. Choose email-based Simple access or Extra privacy with a passphrase you control.
How the Vault works
Sign in and unlock
Use your verified email sign-in. Add a separate passphrase only if you choose Extra privacy.
Choose what to keep
Use any of the 13 organised sections for useful details, and attach encrypted copies of documents or images where helpful.
Save privately
Your entries, files and original filenames are encrypted in your browser before they are sent for storage.
Get a file back
Choose Download after unlocking. The encrypted file returns to your browser, is decrypted there, and is saved as a readable file on your device.
What Expat Legacy Secrets can see
Your privacy depends on your choice. With Simple access, the service manages your encryption key and can technically decrypt contents and filenames. With Extra privacy, your passphrase and unlocked Vault key are not sent to us, so we cannot read the contents. The service keeps limited operating information such as the Vault section, encrypted file size and storage dates.
Important: With Extra privacy, Expat Legacy Secrets cannot recover your encryption passphrase. You may optionally save a recovery code in advance. Without either, your encrypted information cannot be restored.
